It was really an act of GOD and beyond the control of humans that Kuala Lumpur is once again being flooded to the brim. Many properties were destroyed and created hardship to many of its citizens.
It was really unfortunate that the SMART Tunnel is not ready in time to handle the flood mitigation, if not we can all strongly believe that KL will be alright. When the SMART Tunnel flood mitigation section is open in August 2007, we all KLians can be safe and sure that the view of KL being a Venice of Asia will be in the history books.
The development of the SMART Tunnel is definitely a vision of a forward thinking Government. As the project is a massive one and also being the first and only in the world now, the Government absolutely deserve in pat in the back for building it.
As I am going through Jeff's blog, he never at all appreciate what the Government has done to mitigate flood or probably he does not know at all the the SMART tunnel has been built by the Government of the Day to mitigate flood in KL. Why Jeff only publish one side of the story and never mention what the Government has done? Such an ungrateful freak! Do not really deserve to be a GERAKAN member or even being a Malaysian at all.
